Explosions
The Explosion Series by Giovanni Lunardi.
In his artworks, Giovanni plays with multiple printed images in order to add depth to pictures. His challenge is to transform the images from flat to 3D.
The Explosion series was created with the idea of adding motion as well.
Each artwork starts with a concept, then a photoshoot is scheduled with the necessary props. When Giovanni is happy with the images he took, he selects the final one and, after any necessary retouching, the image is printed to size in 2 copies. Both images are mounted on a substrate, one becomes the background and the other is cut piece by piece and assembled by Giovanni himself.
Each artwork is mounted in a custom made matte black shadowbox with acrylic glazing.
All our images are printed with the finest archival inks and papers.
